Nobuo Uematsu has contributed to the album Play For Japan: The Album which aims to help raise funds for those affected by last month's earthquake and tsunami in Japan. The album will be available on iTunes sometime this June.
Added a new concert of VG and FF music featuring HITOSHI SAKIMOTO in the concert section. The concert will take place in Singapore and on April 30th and May 1st.

Today, OverClocked ReMix releases their 14th project album Final Fantasy IV: Echoes of Betrayal, Light of Redemption - a massive fan-made arrangement album of Nobuo Uematsu's classic video game soundtrack through a musically re-imagining of the story told in a 3 act format - available now for free download at OC remix.
News from E3 this year has confirmed that Nobuo Uematsu will be composing all of the soundtrack for the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV MMO.

Recently Nobuo Uematsu and artist/designer Yoshitaka Amano helped EGM's EIC James Mielke propose to his girlfriend, view the story and video here. In the video you can hear the melody Uematsu composed for Mielke's proposal.

SquareSound recently had the privilege to interview both Nobuo Uematsu and Arnie Roth at the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert in Chicago, Illinois and one of the most interesting revelations was that Uematsu claimed if he hadn't been a musician, he wanted to be a professional wrestler.
