No, there is no official publication of Final Fantasy orchestral scores. However, you can find ff sheet music (piano and non-piano) arranged by fans here. You can buy the official piano/guitar sheet music here

Why is "Final Fantasy: the spirits within" listed in his Film/TV work section when he didn't compose the music?
He is credited under "Square Sounds Co. Ltd staff" at the end credit of the movie.

My school wants to perform FF music publicly, is this legal?
"No public performance for profit. If money is charged for performances, they must go into a non-profit account (school fund or band fund OK)". this comes from Squaresoft legal, so as long as your performance fits this criteria you shouldn't be in any legal hot water.

(note: some people have told me that their school music director want written permission from Squaresoft before the school can legally perform the music, in this case, you would want to contact Squaresoft directly at www.squaresoft.com)

Where do I go to find out how to make a legal cover FF song and do I need Squaresoft's permission to do it
You do not need squaresoft's permission to do a cover song, however you do need to pay them mechanical license fee for doing a cover of one of their copyrighted songs.

How do I open the sheet music?
you need to download WINZIP to unzip the files, then if files are in .jpg or .gif files, you can just double click on them to open them. If the file are in .pdf format, you need to go to ADOBE's website and download the FREE acrobat reader program to open the file.

In the Past he had said that he uses a Roland SC88 synth, but I am sure now his uses much more current equipment.
